Want more than the basics, higher quality, and no robot voice? Don’t wait, get on that Patreon today!

Hi folks! Something not quite so over-the-top euphoric this week. I hope you like it. It’s more hauntological but it does have a strong beat/groove.
Oh also something I have never said because I figured it was obvious, but just in case — conelcast is mixed for headphones! If you’re listening from your phone speaker, you’re probably missing out. Also if your podcast app has a “volume boost” option or whatever, don’t use it — it’s a cheap compression trick and it’ll make the songs sound real bad!!!

Thank you to everyone for listening, and remember, if you feel like two albums’ worth of music per month is worth the price of one cup of coffee, please consider joining the conelrad Patreon here. You get higher-quality, sting/intro-free versions of the songs! And another free short track!

There are other ways, including free ways, that you can help too — please see below!

I have about six albums of music at conelrad.bandcamp.com. They’re mostly shorter tracks, but these are the albums that inspired conelcast (because people told me that they listened to them while working)/

You can pay whatever you like for them. Some people have done this already (thank you so much).

    Free ways to support!!!!!

If you know artists, coders, creatives or open-plan office workers of any kind who could be interested, do let them know about conelcast. Also, if you know of anywhere I could recommend the podcast — popular blogs/sites for artists and other creatives, for instance — do let me know. You can email me at conelrad@munchhouse.com or get me on Twitter at conelraduk.

You can join the conelrad mailing list here. That’s the best way to keep updated with conelcast and other conelrad projects.

Hi folks! I’m recovering from some minor surgery but thankfully I got the conelcast episode squared away! This one is on the lively, almost euphoric side. Very synthetic but in a lush way. If, like me, you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, and the dark and the cold are already getting you down, hopefully this will bring a bit of sizzle and energy into your days.  I really like it and I hope you do too. If not, well, there’s always next episode. Or the 42 other episodes I’ve already released 🙂

This one is mellow and downtempo. Stick with it though, it does have a groove, and it does develop. It also has one of my fave ever self-concocted synth sounds (the kinda wooden-sounding synth flourish).

It has been a very hard week so I’m hoping that this will help you as much as it’s helped me (listening to the drafts as I often do).

Also err I got my old Twitter back. It’s at conelraduk. Go follow.

This one is actually a bit on the spooky side, with some nice mournful parping trumpets and a midtempo groove (though there is also an upshift to enjoy into a bit of faster paced stuff). I’ve also got the hang a bit more of messing with LFOs etc on the synths for some nice juicy noises. Hope you like it.

Anyway, woof! This one was a lot of work. I really hope you like it! It’s got some post-rock, maybe Mogwai-ish energy to it? Not sure. First up: hello New Zealand?? conelcast briefly charted at #5 of 500 in the Music category in New Zealand Chartable charts. So if you’re from there, a special hello!!

Anyway! I’ve really been excited to share this one and have been listening to it a lot myself over the last couple weeks (yes, I *do* make these episodes in advance!). Something with a bit of bounce and energy to it. Probably the most upbeat conelcast episode yet. I threw the kitchen sink at it: live bass, ebow guitar, marimbas (????)

I have no idea why, but there you go. I hope you like it!
